Hi, Tech

FOAP: earn money with your cameraphone

The Foap app has been around for 4 years. In that time, its growing community has uploaded tens of millions of photos and made an Screenshot (42)(unfortunately) undisclosed amount of money.

Foap boasts itself as the premiere place to upload your photos and make them available for purchase. For each photo you sell you make $5 and you can sell the same photo an unlimited number of times.

From the reviews we’ve seen, it’s completely legit, albeit tedious. It’s designed to hold people back from uploading entire galleries. Each photo is uploaded one by one, with tagging and rating.

As an artist, this is what I like this most: You don’t lose your copyright when your photos are sold. Buyers/brands get non-exclusive rights to your photos, so after that sale you can keep using them in any way you want. It also means that the same photo can be sold on Foap more than once.

If you fancy yourself one helluvan amateur photographer, this may be a way to officially go pro!
