If you’re like us, you’re an indoor kid. That being said, we all have a couple friends who we would not mind shooting, from time to time. Finally, a sport is making that possible, without going to prison.
It’s called Archery Tag and has the same rules as dodgeball, except for the awesome fact that you’re using a bow and arrows. Since we love dodgeball and pretending to be Legolas, we can’t wait to give it a shot- pun intended.
Invented in Indiana by John Jackson in 2011, the game begins with a number of arrows in the center of the arena. At the whistle, players race to collect them, before firing them at one another across the playing field. A player is eliminated if struck by an arrow, and a player can bring an eliminated teammate back into play by catching an arrow.
At the very least, this is really good practice for a zombie apocalypse, and from the looks of it, it won’t be hard for you to find a place near you.
